Duplicitous – A Poem

They whispered in secret,
plotting their lies,
A crime of passion
beneath hollowed eyes.

Fake friends, false kin,
with deception in hand,
Working for El Diablo,
a dark, wicked band.

3Duplicitous

But the Divine, with a
heart pure and bright,
Saw through their schemes,
pierced the night.

The angels revealed
in dreams deep and true,
The plans they devised —
exposed and askew.

2Duplicitous

They schemed and they plotted,
hoping to win,
But the Divine had a plan
to dismantle their sin.

Exposing their evil,
revealing the truth,
A corrupt church crumbled,
no place for their ruth.

4Duplicitous

For she was too strong,
too guarded, too wise,
Protected by heaven,
no deceit in disguise.

Their evil unraveled,
their plots left undone,
The Divine’s will victorious,
their reign now none.
