Cold Bitter Heart – A Poem

Once they burned with reckless fire,
Fueled by hate and dark desire.
A heart encased in selfish rage,
A bitter actor on life’s stage.

They lashed out at her radiant glow,
Her independence struck them low.
Her shine too bright, her spirit free,
A threat to all they wished to be.

Cold Bitter Heart

Their hurled sharp words like jagged stone,
To leave her shattered, all alone.
But strength was hers, and love her guide,
She soared while they were cast aside.

The embers of their anger fade,
No warmth remains, just price unpaid.
Their spite, a poison, left its mark,
It dimmed their soul and left it stark.

Cold Bitter Heart

Alone they stand, their fortune spent,
The cold winds howl, a harsh lament.
Their bitter heart, now locked in frost,
A cruel reminder of what they lost.

For power sought through hate and lies
Will never match the light that flies.
She thrives, unbound, while they depart,
A shadowed soul; cold, bitter heart.
