Chained Shadows – A Poem

⛓️⛓️⛓️

They sit, unmoving,
as days dissolve,
Wrapped in whispers
hearts can’t resolve.

⛓️⛓️⛓️

Eyes fixed on others
with venomous glare,
Blind to the mirrors
of their own despair.

⛓️⛓️⛓️

The weight of hate,
a shackle tight,
Binding their souls,
extinguishing light.

⛓️⛓️⛓️

Toxic beliefs,
a smog-filled sky,
Choking the dreams
they let wither and die.

⛓️⛓️⛓️

ghosts of the past

⛓️⛓️⛓️

Memories linger,
ghosts of the past,
Sins like echoes,
shadows they cast.

⛓️⛓️⛓️

Truth, a flame, burns
through their disguise,
Exposing the cracks
and hollowed-out lies.

⛓️⛓️⛓️

No hands reach,
no voices call,
Their fortress of scorn
becomes their fall.

⛓️⛓️⛓️

Alone they sit,
in their self-made cage,
Prisoners to bitterness,
architects of rage.
